The CCTSF was created in late 2019 when five Canadian clubs came together with the view of advocating and advancing the various disciplines under the FITASC umbrella.
This is an organic Canadian organization, created by Canadians to benefit Canadian shooters and Canadian shooting clubs. Our only external affiliation is with the FITASC organization in Paris, France.
At the present time, we hold the FITASC licenses for both the Compak and the Sporting disciplines.
From east to west, these clubs created this Federation to improve clay target sports shooting across Canada:
In addition to the many lives lost and to the global disruption of economies, the COVID-19 pandemic has derailed many of our planned events thus far in 2020. As provincial governments begin lifting restrictions, there appears that we may be able to start back into our favourite games, albeit in a somewhat modified form.
There has been a lot of misinformation circulating on the web regarding the banning of 12- and 10- gauge shotguns. The Canadian Firearms Program, administered by the RCMP, has clarified this misinformation on their website - please follow this link:
Our organization stands with all responsible firearms owners in opposition to the recent federal government ban on certain types of firearms.
The econd registered event for Alberta Clay Sports Training is scheduled for Saturday, August 29at the Beaverhill Sporting Clays facility north of Tofield.
Advance registration requested. Please arrive at 9:30 am. Be prepared for first shooting to begin at 10:00. Compak is a game that is designed to be, and is, fast paced. Registered Compak shooting likely to be done by 12:30-1:00 pm.
This is a fun shoot. There will be a mix of targets for you to enjoy. One of the benefits of Compak is the stringent set of rules for target setting. Briefly, all targets must cross an imaginary box that is located 4-7 m in front of the stands. The box is 40 m wide and 25 m deep. This makes the targets, generally, ranging from 15 to 40 yards.
As you have come to expect, the targets will all be visible (no eye test) and plenty of time to shoot them (no reflex test).
The prices are set at affordable rates to have as large a group as possible.
Targets * $65.00
Canadian Clay Target Sports Fed 2020 Membership ** $10.00
